Mike Dowdy's Board Artwork
I illustrated and created the artwork for the 'CWB Dowdy Wakeboard'. I worked closely with Mike to get a feel for what he wanted. He is a huge supporter of US manufacturing and Detroit, so he wanted a Detroit-themed board. I decided to illustrate the Fisher Building, which is reflected by the Cadillac, the Joe Louis Fist, and One Detroit Center building. I wanted the piece to reflect Mike's riding style, so I chose solid, bright colors to set off an old city seen in a new light.
